The American Veterans Disabled for Life Memorial

PLEASE READ, REVERE & SHARE!

Our National Park Service has the distinction and honor of overseeing and preserving the many battlefields, military parks, and historic sites that honor and commemorate the service of our American veterans. Well, on October 5, 2014, its newest site, the American Veterans Disabled for Life Memorial, was dedicated in Washington, D.C. to honor the courage and sacrifice of all disabled veterans who served and will serve in our country’s military forces.

It’s a magnificent edifice, as pictured here. And the 59 Veterans Project looks forward with enthusiasm and honor to working with the National Park Service as we launch our program to help military veterans. it too is going to be magnificent! And we welcome your support and participation as well as your comments, questions, likes and shares here on Facebook and our other social networks.

SONNETS TO ENJOY THROUGH THE HOLIDAYS!

LOVER WALKING AWAYPLEASE READ, ENJOY & SHARE!

As a professional writer, there are numerous writing and editing services I provide professional businesses and regular folks. One of these is writing personalized poems. And regardless of the subject or specifics, I can probably write you an elegant and poignant poem to memorialize that special person or event you have in mind. And my fees are quite reasonable! I also write different categories of verse including romance, nature, philosophy. humor, family, politics and even for brand products.

Here is a form of verse called the sonnet–two of them actually–which, if you really appreciate romantic poetry, just might do the job!

LOVE AMONG THE MOURNERS, A SONNET

I felt among strangers that final day,
Like mourners at a graveyard donned in black;
Mourning the sight of you walking away,
Though you stopped for a moment to look back.
I knew you could not see that I saw you,
And the look of sorrow upon your face.
That sadly a last look did not draw you
To return to a sweet and warmer place!
It was never somewhere you hoped to be,
Even the times when feeling loved felt great.
So why bother now looking back to see
What you knew long ago would be too late?
So go away, as have I, and walk on;
There’s no use looking back for what is gone.

GOODBYES AND FAREWELLS, A SONNET

No amount of love knows what lies ahead,
Nor what sorrowful words remain unsaid.
For not everyone fears desolation
At the time when goodbye is first spoken.
Still, sometimes love offers consolation
When there is more than one heart that’s broken.
Often it’s not seen in a lover’s eyes
When goodbye is meant as the final good.
But can’t forgive and forget when loves dies
To explain what cannot be understood.
So in silence I would speak another,
(The word farewell you whispered at the end!)
A word only spoken by a lover…
But never someone who had been a friend.

59 VETERANS PROJECT: SHARE OUR CHRISTMAS TREE WITH YOUR FRIENDS!

PARIOTIC XMAS TREESHARE OUR CHRISTMAS TREE WITH YOUR FRIENDS!

We stumbled across this beautiful and very patriotic Christmas tree online and simply had to share it with all our friends. We can’t wait till the day when we’re sitting out on the prairie amidst each of our 59 national parks, gathered around the campfire with veterans and staff, with our 59 Veterans Project underway. And there across from us we will have strewn colorful Christmas lights around a cactus or makeshift tree–enjoying the holiday season under the stars in the company of noble comrades and beautiful nature!

That day and season is coming and we hope to be sharing every fabulous detail of it soon. Meanwhile, we ask that you stay with us and share our project and cause with your networks and friends. Visit us here (http://www.59veterans.com/) to learn more, and please have a wonderful holiday weekend!
