Andersonville National Historic Site (NPS) 2(1)

PLEASE SHARE WITH VETERANS AND FRIENDS!

Every year our national parks and national historical sites hold a host of events to commemorate these parks and sites, our U.S. heritage, and all our military veterans both past and present. Some of the locations for these reverent events include the American Veterans Disabled for Life Memorial (in Washington, D.C.), the special Avenue of Flags at Andersonville National Historic Site (Georgia), the American Revolution with living historians during a special two-day event at Fort Stanwix National Monument (New York), the Veterans Day Encampment at Kings Mountain National Military Park (South Carolina), and many, many more.

These and other major inspiring events located throughout the country are held on Flag Day, Memorial Day, July 4th and Veterans Day.  To learn more about all this and also how disabled veterans can obtain special access passes at these events and at our national parks, please visit this seminal site: http://www.nationalparks.org/connect/blog/honoring-our-veterans.  And to learn more about us the 59 VETERANS PROJECT and how we’re be working with our 59 national parks to bring education and employment to veterans, please visit our main site here: http://www.59veterans.com.
