59 U.S. Veterans + 59 National Parks

= A groundbreaking project to help returning servicemen and women start exciting new careers, and create a stunning 3D high-definition video record of America’s greatest natural treasures. Join the 59 Veterans Project on its epic journey of education and discovery that will (with your help!) be created by U.S. veterans training for a new career in 3D high-definition videography, producing a series of half-hour programs featuring each of America’s 59 National Parks.

This ambitious and far-reaching year-long project will kick off an ongoing educational program designed to provide specialized training to returning U.S. servicemen and women to become professional videographers. Creating stunning images utilizing state of the art, ultra high-definition (4K) and 3D equipment.

Our search for over 200 assignments for the project is underway.

The 59veterans Project is in search of 59 TEAMs of U.S. veterans. Each team will be unique to each of the parks. Your team will be a veteran + his battle buddy, or significant other, sibling, parent, child. If you are an individual that wants to have us to pair you with another veteran for your team, we will be honored to do so. PLUS the team will have a dedicated blogger as mentioned below. You all will be transported, fed, lodged and supported by the project for between 5-7 days.

Bloggers: Will become a member of the 59 Veteran park team. Therefore there are 59 assignments available. Preference will be given to veterans with the skill to write the stories. It is their unique viewpoint that will add another dimension to the project. However, blogging assignments are NOT restricted to veterans. As a blogger your assignment will start long before you enter the park. You will get to tell the story of the other members of your team and YOUR time in the park. You get to pen the activities of the project on a blog site related to the park and may be offered a long-term writing engagement.

The expedition support teams (4) also have a significant number of assignments lasting nearly 16 weeks, including drivers, chiefs, production assistants, and more.
