Carlsbad Caverns National Park in New Mexico is a rugged, rocky landscape consisting of 117 amazing caves, the longest of which is over 120 miles (190 km) long. Another, The Big Room Cave is almost 4,000 feet (1,200 meters) long and known for its most unusual internal rock formations. Plus, the collection of caves is home to over 400,000 Mexican free-tailed bats and sixteen other rare species.
Above ground are the vast Chihuahuan Desert and epic Rattlesnake Springs which induce tourists to enjoy hiking, biking, camping, river rafting and kayaking and many other outdoor activities especially during the spring and summer months. Carlsbad Caverns became a national park on May 14, 1930, and is over 46,000 acres in size. Ah, what an epic treasure!
It is indeed a vast outdoor treasure which we the 59 VETERANS PROJECT can’t wait to traverse and experience alongside military veterans to whom we will be teaching 4K and VR videography and photography once our project is launched.
