Located on the Congaree River in South Carolina, Congaree National Park is the largest portion of old-growth floodplain forest remaining in North America. Some of the trees in the park are the tallest in the Eastern United States. And an elevated walkway called the Boardwalk Loop guides visitors throughout most of the park’s swampy region.
Truly, Congaree National Park is one of a kind and a very unique and somewhat strange and haunted park you won’t experience in our nation’s other 58 national parks. This includes an amazing array of bio-density consisting of a lot of strange, unusual plants, trees and animal life you just won’t see anywhere else in the world!
To learn more about this extraordinary national park, you can go here: https://www.nps.gov/cong/index.htm
