The 59 Vets Project Knows What Memorial Day is. Do You?

THIS IS MEMORIAL DAY

WHAT IS MEMORIAL DAY? – PLEASE SHARE!

Tomorrow is Memorial Day. It is not a holiday. It is a day of remembrance, commemoration and observance. A day to remember our fallen heroes and all the military members of the U.S. Army, U.S. Navy, U.S. Air Force, U.S. Marine Corps, U.S. Coast Guard and all reserve/national guard units who fought and died and gave “the last full measure of devotion” to our country and so that all of us may live in freedom and liberty.

Memorial Day is to remember and honor all these valiant souls.

Thus, it is our sacred duty and greatest honor for all of us here at the 59 VETERANS PROJECT to observe, respect and devote tomorrow, Memorial Day, to all who have served and fought and died for the United States of America. So…

Bugler, commence TAPS!
Veterans and military personnel, PRESENT…ARMS!

All Americans, HAND SALUTE!

SHARE THIS HERO’S STORY WITH EVERYONE!

One thing we really love here at the 59 VETERANS PROJECT is stories about unsung heroes. Especially heroes who wore the uniform and served in our U.S. Military.

So what we have here is one such unsung hero story. And it’s a powerful one. It’s name is Lt. Mark Donald, Navy Seal Medic and winner of the Navy Cross and Silver Star for bravery. Here for your reading pleasure; http://taskandpurpose.com/unsung-heroes-navy-seal-medic-saved-men-2-ambushes-day/

Give it a read and be inspired! And visit our headquarters company online when you get the chance at http://www.59veterans.com to learn how you can join us when we commence our project to support and help all our brave veterans!

SHARE THIS EPIC NATIONAL PARK WITH EVERYONE!

Just how beautiful is Great Basin National Park? Well, check out the photo here taken of just one small epic portion of it. Pretty beautiful, huh? And awfully epic.

In fact, when it comes to being epic, Great Basin is second to none!

Based around Nevada’s second tallest mountain, Wheeler Peak, Great Basin National Park contains 5,000-year-old bristlecone pines, a rock glacier, and the limestone Lehman Caves. It also enjoys some of the country’s darkest night skies. Animals which call the park home include the Townsend’s big-eared bat, pronghorn and Bonneville cutthroat trout.

The park derives its name from the Great Basin, the dry and mountainous region between the Sierra Nevada and the Wasatch Mountains. Topographically, this area is known as the Basin and Range Province. As it is, the park is located approximately 290 miles (470 km) north of Las Vegas and protects 77,180 acres (31,230 ha) of epic and beautiful terrain. That’s a lot of epic park to visit and experience!

To learn more about this truly beautiful, epic national park, visit this NPS site: https://www.nps.gov/grba/index.htm. And to learn more about us, the 59 VETERANS PROJECT, and our upcoming enterprise to help veterans and trek all 59 of our national parks with them, see us here: http://www.59veterans.com/. We can’t wait to meet you and have you join us as we ascend this summit together!
