All of us here at FRIENDS OF HSR agree with this post from Demetrius Villa who runs the High Speed Rail Association online. Watch the video and you may too!

The 59 Veterans Projects Remember Korean War Veterans!

PLEASE SHARE WITH ALL VETERANS & FRIENDS!

The Korean War began on June 25, 1950, when some 75,000 soldiers from the North Korean People’s Army poured across the 38th parallel, the boundary between the Soviet-backed Democratic People’s Republic of Korea to the north and the pro-Western Republic of Korea to the south. This invasion was the first military action of the Cold War. By July, American troops had entered the war on South Korea’s behalf.

By war’s end in July of 1953, some 5 million soldiers and civilians from a host of nations lost their lives including over 53,000 Americans killed in action, 103,248 wounded and over 8,100 Americans missing in action.  It is our honor and privilege here at the 59 VETERANS PROJECT to share this video tribute from The Veterans Site to Korean War Veterans.  May you do the same.

Hand salute to all our military veterans, past and present!
