SHARE THIS POST WITH TRAIN LOVERS EVERYWHERE!
Check out this awesome new train from Italy slated to join other high speed rail trains traveling at super speed throughout Europe soon.
We need to have this train here in the United States of America. And all of us here at FRIENDS OF HSR can’t wait! For we need high speed rail in America. We deserve to have high speed rail in America. For it’s darn stupid and detrimental to our entire transportation system and ecological and economical existence that we don’t!

TIME TO ENJOY AND SHARE SOME AWESOME BLOGGING!
My writer-friend Kristen McHenry is enjoying a brilliant week. Not only has she canoodled a life-altering journey to Ireland, but she has unraveled several spatial conundrums that have been afflicting the space-time continuum for way too long.
However, before she skedaddles to the land of four-leaf clover and tongue-vaporizing whiskey, you deserve to have your airport anxieties remedied and your befuddled funny bone tickled green! Lad and lassie, go here…

SHARE WITH PEOPLE WHO LOVE SPEED, EFFICIENCY, SUPERIOR
TRANSPORTATION & HSR TRAINS! While the implementation of high speed rail in America continues to languish and go nowhere under a widespread avalanche of repetitive studies, rhetorical debate, vetoed initiatives, political wrangling and money haggling, the rest of the world continues to lay new track and bring incredibly fast, sophisticated and enjoyable high speed rail to people everywhere.
Case in point: Spain, which plans to have a new HSR line up and running and connecting Madrid to neighboring Portugal in just two years. I may visit Spain in 2019 just to ride it. And to experience what I haven’t experienced in America in a long time: technological advancement and progress!

PLEASE SHARE WITH HIGH SPEED RAIL LOVERS!
More than 500 Japanese firms led by Japan’s Ministry of Economy, Trade and Investment (METI) are traveling to Thailand this month to discuss and plan the building of a high speed rail line to run between Thailand’s major cities of Bangkok and Rayong (a distance of 193 km).
Construction on the line is slated to begin next year, to be completed and up and running by 2023–a mere six years from now. Trains will travel at 160km per hour, and the The State Railway of Thailand (SRT) estimates at least 103,000 people will travel the rail daily, while tourism and commerce improve substantially throughout the region.
The question is, will all of Asia have tens of thousands of miles of HSR and be completely connected by super-speed transportation within a few more years before the United States even lays one foot of bullet train track?

This is a pretty sad commentary upon the greatest and most industrialized nation in the world. You think?

SHARE WITH TRUE LOVERS OF HSR!
The first mass production type of high speed rail bullet train, the CR400AF Fuxinghao (The Revival), began its service at Beijing South Railway Station in China this past June, immediately after an unveiling ceremony the day before.
It’s a magnificent HSR train, and it’s a tragedy we have nothing close to it here in the United States. China continues to increase and improve it’s high speed rail routes and fleets of bullet trains.
Meanwhile, America continues to languish in massive vehicular traffic jams and gridlock, traveling aboard sardine-can, customer abusive airliners and being ferried via an old, slow-moving train system not much improved since the 1950s. Do Americans have to go to China or Europe to experience world-class transportation again?

SHARE WITH HSR AFICIONADOS EVERYWHERE!
Did you know that South Korea now has high speed rail? In fact, the country has four different lines in service and plans to build more and have them in place in time for the Winter Olympics coming to Seoul late next year.
How many HSR lines in service in the United States? Zero!
But who knows. Maybe South Korea will become our inspiration and motivation to once more become the innovative, technologically advanced country we used to be. And escape the inferior bonds of a second-rate transportation country.
