It’s important that everyone has a last will and testament, and certainly no less true for our military veterans and active duty men and women serving in our Armed Forces.  So, it’s our pleasure here at the 59 VETERANS PROJECT to share this important post from the VFW.

Please share this with your social networks and especially with any and all veterans and active duty military friends you may have.  Thank you!

Come Visit Sequoia National Park with the 59 Veterans Project!

GENERAL SHERMAN TREE

PLEASE SHARE WITH FRIENDS & VETERANS!

Sequoia National Park near central California is often called the protector park. For it protects the Giant Forest, which boasts some of the world’s largest trees, including the General Sherman, a giant sequoia which is the largest living tree on Earth! It stands almost 275 feet in height, with a circumference of 102 feet, and its largest branch having a diameter of 6.8 feet. General Sherman (named after the famous Civil War general!) has an estimated age of 2,300–2,700 years.
Other features of Sequoia National Park include over 240 caves, a long segment of the Sierra Nevada mountain range, and Moro Rock, a large granite dome. The park also contains among its natural resources the highest point in the contiguous 48 United States: Mount Whitney, which towers at 14,494 feet (4,418 m) above sea level.
Sequoia National Park is a giant place (spanning 404,064 acres) and a beautiful vacation spot during spring and summer of each year. To learn more about this magnificent national park, visit this giant website: https://www.nps.gov/seki/index.htm

SHARE WITH OUR MILITARY VETERANS EVERYWHERE!

Actor and film star Gary Sinise is one of our favorite people here at the 59 VETERANS PROJECT. And for good reason. Today, there is perhaps no one–celebrity or otherwise–who supports and helps veterans like Gary does. Recently he was recognized and awarded a prestigious medal for this, and it is our pleasure to share news of this event with all our friends and veterans throughout the country (http://tinyurl.com/k9rhycp).

Hand salute to Gary Sinise!
