Biscayne National Park

Biscayne National Park2

SHARE THIS WATERY NATIONAL PARK WITH FRIENDS!

Our country’s 59 national parks are famous for all sorts of amazing ecological and geological edifices, formations, features and landscapes. And usually of a rocky, canyon, mountainous, prairie and sandstone kind. But one of our magnificent national parks is quite aquatic and harboring a wondrous watery world!

Biscayne National Park, located in southern Florida and just south of Miami, preserves Biscayne Bay and its offshore barrier reefs. Unbelievably, 95 percent of the park is water, and the shore of the bay is the location of an extensive mangrove forest. The park covers 172,971 acres (69,999 ha) and includes Elliott Key, the park’s largest island and first of the true Florida Keys, formed from fossilized coral reef. The islands farther north in the park are transitional islands of coral and sand. The offshore portion of the park includes the northernmost region of the Florida Reef, one of the largest coral reefs in the world.

Biscayne National Park actually consists of four interrelated marine ecosystems: mangrove forest, the Bay, the Keys, and the coral reefs. Threatened animals include the West Indian manatee, American crocodile, various sea turtles, and the peregrine falcon. You can be sure when the 59 VETERANS PROJECTS is visiting this watery world, along with veterans we’ll be teaching 4K and VR videograhy and photography we will definitely have plenty of watercraft, surfboards, and our fins and scuba gear with us!

We can’t wait to be sharing the company of our military veterans along this watery trail and many others…as we ascend the summit together!

THE GIFT OF LIFE

Cute Baby PicturesHD Wallpapers

The most precious gift given to us is life.  And a newborn baby is a miracle in and of itself.  A miracle and a promise for tomorrow.  And evidence of God, in my opinion.

Patrick The Poet

THE GIFT OF LIFE

Today a beautiful gift was given to me.
A gift of perfect happiness and holy love.
So perfect for all its innocence and beauty.
And so holy because it came from God above!

And though life is often sad and terribly flawed,
There is still much happiness that has come my way.
For if I needed to believe there is a God
And a reason to face life each difficult day,

I would not need to look to the heavens above
Nor seek to know the reason God lives to save me.
I know full well the presence of God and His love
Everyday when I embrace this child He gave me!

CLAUDE DEBUSSY: CLAIR DE LUNE

When it comes to beautifully melodic, haunting music, this classic by the French composer Claude Debussy might just stand alone.  It’s a favorite of my really good friend and fellow diverse artist Allen Wilkerson, and it goes out to him this coming cold moonlit night in southern California!
