THE FRIENDSHIP OF CHAOS

CHAOS OCEAN

Sometimes the friendship you receive is not equal to the friendship you give. Sometimes it’s not even close. — Patrick The Poet

THE FRIENDSHIP OF CHAOS

When chaos rules even a kind heart,
There is little joy friendship can give.
And little that time can’t tear apart
In those whose broken souls barely live.

For like a ship you join your sail to,
To savor happiness for a while,
There are truths you should see but fail to;
For sometimes chaos shares a kind smile.

So you bear each tumultuous journey,
Hoping the next will bring a better fate.
But the storm always comes to engulf the sea
Where there’s never a time that isn’t too late.

Such is life that always brings storms our way,
Whose cost in wounds and scars can be extensive.
But oh, the price that loneliness won’t pay
For even friendship that is too expensive.

THOSE WHO BELIEVE

02 ResolutionsofEpicProportions

It’s easy to embrace despair and be a pessimist. But far more fulfilling to embrace hope and be an optimist! — Patrick The Poet

😍🤩😍

THOSE WHO BELIEVE

Because dreams often die in Winter
and love often fails in Fall
and youth must often fade in Summer
and lovers and dreamers everywhere
often look for the bad
and not the good in every season-—
does not mean
we should not believe in Spring.

It only means that some people
do not dream strong enough
and some people do not love with conviction.
It only means that some people
are not truly young at heart
and some people believe in the bad
more than the good.

It does not mean
that something magnificent and beautiful
and something full of hope and love
does not await those
who believe in Spring.

SEASHELLS

1SEASHELLS POEM

There are some who’d rather not have what the path of least resistance would foolishly protect them from having. — Patrick The Poet

SEASHELLS

Sometimes memories seem like seashells on a beach,
Lonely little gems of happiness from the past.
And what the sand has kept buried and out of reach.
The fear of ever opening your heart at last.

For there are moments when paradise almost came,
When once you felt the courage to give love a chance.
But all you can feel now is what time cannot name…
Seashores and seashells and what sorrow calls romance.

Oh, how they make you remember the past again
And all the happiness you grieved and failed to live.
And yes, the person you once were and could have been.
And all the happiness that love wanted to give.
